Here’s a delicious protein smoothie that you can enjoy at bedtime. Not only will it help you to balance your blood sugar, but it will also improve your health as well.

• 1 scoop protein powder (Life’s Basics protein, whey, or rice protein, equal to 14–15 g protein)

• 1–2 Tbsp. of ground flaxseeds

• ¼–½ cup frozen strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, or blueberries, or a combination of them OR

• ½ frozen banana

• 1 cup water, coconut milk or kefir, or organic skim milk or kefir

Blend into a smoothie and enjoy!
